Welcome to
Wild Child Nature Project

Our name reflects the essence of our mission: to nurture boundless, joyful exploration and learning in nature.

At the heart of our services lies our nature-rooted forest school, specifically designed for children aged 3 and above. Our offerings include "Owls," which are consistent weekly preschool morning sessions, and "Coyotes," our full-day immersive experiences.

In addition, we offer a variety of specialized programs through our "Branch Out!" initiatives, enriching our curriculum with a diverse array of learning opportunities.

Our Programs are offered five days of the week in  Mississippi Mills, ON.

While spending the majority of our days outside, in all seasons, we nurture gratitude, kindness and an appreciation of our diverse environment and communities.

We recognize that children are capable and curious, and we support a child-centred approach to learning and playing that follows the child's natural curiosity and is supported with care by our education team.

We are always working to expand our offerings to serve our local community.

The land we call home

The land we call home is in Mississippi Mills, Ontario, where we respectfully acknowledges that is it on the traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinabeg people, and for that we are grateful.

As a community, we value the teachings of the land and its role in our learning and growth. We learn that the forest is not just a gathering of trees but a living and interconnected system of life, that we are a part of.

We commit to nurturing this land and its teachings, to listening and learning from knowledge keepers, and to incorporate stewardship and principles of Forest School pedagogy into our work.

May we continue to learn, grow, and thrive together on this land in the spirit of reconciliation, respect, and gratitude.
